4 out of 5 stars Dated but still useful   December 7, 2007

I was a little disappointed when I received this book as I hadn't realised it was published in 2000 and the screenshots are from version 3. However, having spent a lot of time reading through it I have still found it extremely informative. The R/3 system is clearly explained and although the screen shots are different and a lot of the menus have changed it is still relevant to users of 4.7. This book would easily achieve 5 stars from me if it was updated to include the latest features and screens of R/3.

Worth buying!

3 out of 5 stars Very Good but incomplete   October 4, 2005

I should have been able to award this book 5 stars.

If it actually covered all the FI/CO modules I would have.

However where are the notes on Dunning in AR, Fixed Assets, Product Costing, the FICO aspects of Project Systems etc. etc.

It's a shame, because apart from the annoying omissions, this book is excellent.

Despite the omissions though, I would still buy this book. I have no regrets about getting my copy.

I work full time with the SAP FICO module, and I find it very useful for refreshing my memory on an area that I haven't worked on for a while.

If the author was to bring out an up to date copy of this book, including all the missing areas listed above, I would buy it in a heartbeat, and I know a lot of other FICO professionals who would do the same.

Every serious minded SAP FI/CO Consultant "must" have a copy of this book. Its full of useful tips and transaction codes that is invaluable to any FI/CO Consultant (guru's or wannabe).

5 out of 5 stars SAP R/3   October 2, 2003
This is the Bible for the FI/CO consultant. Keep it by your side. It makes a very good reference, though its an older version.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent for what the titel suggests...   April 17, 2003

Provides a lot of technical info, but the book relates everything to a case study within the book. Useful tool in visualising how the content can (and does) apply in the real world.

I wouldn't recommend this book to complete beginners in SAP, but is excellent for people wanting to progress within the SAP world.
